We have a sump pump under our house to keep the water level under control and we piped it over the edge of our yard. We live next to a 80 acre field so animals have gone in and out. There is a small ditch on the edge of the fence on the field side and the cows all realized that they can get a drink of sump water that has pooled up in the ditch. Not planned.
