I saw a green gecko crawling near its own tail that just fell off and was still flopping around. (The gecko is able to shed its tail which still moves for several minutes after; it’s used as a defense mechanism, causes no harm to the gecko, and the tail eventually grows back.) In this video, the gecko grabs its own tail which is very much unattached and still moving and then runs away with it.
