Moths (like this promethea silkmoth) shiver because they need to raise their body temperature to fly. The cap is there with water because I thought she was sick/dehydrated since she was in between a window wasn't moving, hence I presumed she got stuck. She was actually just resting and was fine, and flew away after this video. Also she's fucking cute look at her fuzzy body and legs and her pipe cleaner antennae
