I was on a casual hike with my dog on one of our usual trails, when I kept hearing groaning coming from down in the water (or where the water used to be and is now mud). After walking around a hill I could finally see something in the mud but it took getting to the edge of the tree line to realize it was a person scooting through the mud. I was shocked, he was standing neck deep in the mud when I first spotted him but eventually pulled himself out onto him back. After watching for a moment, I yelled to him and asked if he was okay or needed help, to which he answer No! Im fine, I was just looking for fishing lures and it was a little muddy.
