These mesmerizing creatures gather in large groups, or ‘fevers,’ to increase their chances of finding mates and to stay protected from predators. As the waters around Cabo San Lucas warm and become rich with plankton, the rays migrate to this region, following food sources and taking advantage of the favorable conditions for feeding and reproduction.
