    In Fairbanks it is so cold that we need to plug our cars in to keep the engine coolants warm enough to start. This last week temperature has frequently been in the -30 and -40 (Fahrenheit) range.

    Red truck starts and has funny screaming noise

    -40 degrees. Guy walking to truck in snow opens the door and then gets in to start it. He puts the key in and the truck struggles to turn on. eventually it turns on and there is a screaming noise coming from it.
