Large Luffy balloon tear open at parade
Clip of the Macy’s Luffy Balloon tearing open at the beginning of the Thanksgiving Day Parade 2023. The full clip is 1:18, and follows the Luffy balloon as it crosses 75th street and Central Park West, where the brim of the hat gets caught on a branch. The spectators in the video can be heard (rather tragic-comedically) reacting to the affair. The clip then also features the balloon getting caught on a lamppost and redirected by the balloon handlers before it ends. I recorded this video and posted it to tiktok thinking some people might find it funny. To my surprise, as of right now the video has 789.5k views and 59.7k likes. A big surprise!
