Cat slaps dog multiple times

My mothers cat, Misery, was sniffing my dwarf Labradors ears and startled her. Didnt use claws just slapped the crap out of him. Dog sitting comfortably then the cat approaches the dog sniffing its ears, and when the dog sat up the cat slaps the dog multiple times
