Pet dog tries to save dead fish on the river

This is our Bordercollie Hooch trying to rescue a dead fish he found, he is the most gentle boy. We want to know how he knew that the fish needed deeper water? Makes you think really about how much our pets know a lot more than we give them credit for! Right?
