Lava inside a volcano crater aerial drone video
At the eruption in Iceland, the crater gets episodically filled by lava forming a huge lava lake. Within the lake, lava fountains form and lava flows are fed where the lake exits the lake through a breach in the crater wall.
Currently, the lake is active for several hours. After that, it drains and there is no activity for several hours until the lake fills up with lava again. Episodes without activity typically last longer than episodes with activity.
