I was taking my two dogs for a walk and they found an amazing structure made of thorny plants by ants. It looks like the Great Wall of China from their perspective.
Our back yard flooded after a few days straight of rain, and I found an ant colony that had taken to the tallest plants they could find for refuge. I thought it was really cool that they climbed ant sized trees.

I found this huge pile of ants, I've been studying carpenter ants for quite a while and I've never seen anything like this before, these are carpenter ants and I can't tell if they are in a war or if their colony is being attacked, if its not that then it's most likely that it's just a huge colony gathering food.
