It was written by Philippe Paul le comte de Ségur, who was a veteran of the Napoleonic Wars, he fought in Russia. In the clip you see a very unflattering image of Napoleon, which was so unflattering that one of Napoleons friends challenged the Count to a duel, where the Count was injured, and therefore after the duel, he had to change the image in the first page, to a more flattering image of Napoleon.
