Egg toy shell stuck head of hedgehog
This was a video of one of my past African Pygmy Hedgehogs, named Leeloo. I was letting her look at our Easter decorations when she got her quills stuck on the edge of an Easter egg. This was the THIRD TIME IN FIVE MINUTES she got her head stuck!!! I had to record it because I couldn't believe how persistent she was in getting herself stuck. She was convinced she could hide herself in the egg. (Hedgehogs are very fearful of anything or anyone eating them. They are also known for their tendency to explore their surroundings for new/better hiding spots, often leading to situations like this one. Despite their small size, African Pygmy Hedgehogs can be quite stubborn when they set their minds to something.) Leeloo always managed to wiggle her way out unharmed, other than her pride, which was crushed. That's why she makes a pouty face when I try to take it away.
