Herd of elk cross the road cars wait
Here in Evergreen, and in most mountain towns in Colorado, an Elk Jam is an accepted excuse when late to school or work, as it happens so often. Such was the case on my way to work one day. This part of the highway road runs right along Elk Meadow Park, a large meadow surrounding Bergen Peak, and as it’s name implies, it’s very common to spot Elk in the meadow, or staring over your hood as they impede traffic. Herd of elk crossing the road and the cars wait for them to pass by.
