Guy spin and launch a Discus Launch Glider

Guy spin and launch a Discus Launch Glider. How to launch a Discus Launch Glider (DLG). My best flight time is over 11 minutes from one throw. After launching you fly around looking for thermals. Once you find one, you circle in it and because these planes are so light the thermal will lift them up like an elevator. My plane weighs about 8 oz ready to fly and is hand made out of carbon fiber.

Man Looks Around Stationary Aerial View in Plane

This clip was filmed in an ASK21 glider at Cranwell Gliding Club in England while I was sharing a set of flights with one of the club instructors (conditions were too strong for a pilot of my low experience to fly solo that day) who decided to show something interesting during his flight, which meant that I could film it. The wind was very strong especially higher up so we were able to fly above the glider's stall speed while being absolutely stationary relative to the ground below. It is a fascinating experience to effectively hover an engineless aircraft.

  6. Unpowered glider fly above clouds hissing sound00:16

Unpowered glider fly above clouds hissing sound

Flying an unpowered glider in mountain wave at 16,000 feet above the clouds in Scottish Highlands. The periodic hissing sound, at the beginning, is the oxygen system supplying oxygen for every breath you take, as above 10,000 feet you don't get enough, and can become hypoxic.
