Ice wool found on the dead wood branch
Hi my name's Collin and this is called hair ice, it's quite rare.
I was out for a walk with my family this week in Auchterarder in Perthshire, Scotland when we found it in the woods. My daughters and I like to watch your channel and my youngest, Lizzy, suggested I submit it to you.
The person's hands and voice in the video are that of my Partner Jen.

"Hair ice, also known as ice wool or frost beard, is a type of ice that forms on dead wood and takes the shape of fine, silky hair. It is somewhat uncommon, and has been reported mostly at latitudes between 45 and 55 °N in broadleaf forests."
"Hair ice forms on moist, rotting wood from broadleaf trees when temperatures are slightly under 0 °C (32 °F) and the air is humid."
