This butterfly, called Atalas, in Florida through the late 1800s, was believed extinct by 1950 due to the overharvesting of their only known host plant, the coontie (Zamia intergrifolia). Now they are in abundance in this parking lot in Naples, Florida.

I found a bug that looks like it has antlers.
My aunt found this snake looking caterpillar while she was gardening. She was frightened at first because she thought it was an actual snake, but was a caterpillar when I inspected it. The skin color is quite snake like that it scared me a little.
