00:22Lifeboat slowly slides down to the water
A shannon class lifeboat launching off a slide platform for the first time out of cei newydd (pronounced kay neweth), wales, she is a new lifeboat from the shannon class and will serve the coast of wales saving lives, she is part of the royal national lifeboat institution. (RNLI), the shannon class of lifeboats are fitted with dual water jets, unlike the old cei newydd lifeboat fitted with 2 propellers instead, the lifeboat from the shannon class will speed up rescue times around wales, as more are introduced across welsh coasts.
