An aggregation of ladybugs in northern California, they gather too keep warm, eat and mate. Too my knowledge it is uncommon to see so many in one place, a 10x20 foot area including a dead log, tree, and bushes absolutely covered in ladybugs, they look like dead pine needles until you get close. I took the best video i could with only my phone on hand.
