Footage of the fastest land animal in the world, the paratasotomus macropalpis mite. It can move 320 body lengths per second and is about 0.5mm in length.
After a whole day of pain in one of the toes I looked at what this could be causing it (I know I don't take care of nails as cleanly as I should, so I suspected it had something to do with that). I saw that there was a (probably beard) hair stuck under my toenail, which I had to then take out with my SAK tweezers. The extraction wasn't painful. The video was shot with my macro lens.
