Submitter removing ice formed liquid nitrogen on hose

When you dispense liquid nitrogen, the hose it comes out of gets so cold that it freezes water molecules in the air nearby, forming snow on the hose. Submitter removing ice that formed on the hose that the liquid nitrogen comes out of

  2. Water from the bottle hit on the car and turned into ice00:17

Water from the bottle hit on the car and turned into ice

Water was supercooled in the trunk of our car overnight. Freezing process is called nucleation; the water molecules align into crystals when encouraged by a force or object.

Time lapse crystal grow seen under microscope

This is a time lapse showing crystals of sodium ammonium tartrate growing under a microscope. This compound is most popular due to Louis Pasteur, who discovered molecular chirality and proved the 3D scope of molecules by studying them.

  4. Water on the beach glows up at night00:31

Water on the beach glows up at night

G’day mate, love your videos. This was filmed on a calm summer night in southern Tasmania. What you are seeing is strong bioluminescence caused by a dinoflagellate species, Noctiluca scintillans. The bioluminescence is triggered by mechanical stress on the cellular membrane, hence the bright flashes as we wade through the water. The biochemistry is fairly complex, but as I understand it, essentially an enzyme called luciferase interacts with the molecule lucifern in the presence of oxygen, emitting a photon. The phenomenon was particularly powerful tonight due to a combination of still conditions, warm water, and an influx of nutrients to the water body from recent rain. I apologise for the hectic audio - my housemates were enjoying themselves. Cheers from Australia

Guy makes edible cocktail drink with flower

Music. In the video I use a molecular mixology technique to create edible cocktails. Guy creates various edible cocktails. He puts edible flowers, mint leaf and fruits inside the edible drink. Gelatin, mixology, cocktail, drinks, bubble.

QSL More Fun with Molecular Models

My daughter (4) loves to do science experiments and build molecular models with me. But in this clip, at 2:50, she farted. It's hilarious. Ms Marie wants to build a model of an a molecule of an orange (the fruit). A little bit of research showed that oranges are composed of water, sugars (glucose, fructose, sucrose) and citric acid. Since we had built a fructose molecule the night before, we decided to build models of a citric acid molecule and a glucose molecule.

Photochromic solution UV mushroom cloud inside tube

This is the solution of some photochromic compound called spiropyran dissolved in ethyl acetate. When exposed to near UV light, in this case a purple laser, the molecule changed into colored form and absorbed the energy, created a mushroom cloud or jellyfish-like inside the tube.

Girl leans on black chair falls backwards

Girl wearing a black sweater talks about shrinking clothes and molecules. She leans back on the black office chair on wheels on falls backwards. Fail, wood floors, green wall, indoors.
