I was walking home from getting a drink with neighbors after our rat walk with the Rat Czar and we had our eyes open for rats. This big one was just sitting there, we didn’t realize there was another one until he lurching forward and the whole scene unfolded. We got quite close to seeing a rat king!! One of the neighbors on the rat walk said that fighting like this means the rat nest is destabilized, unclear what that means though.

Someone decided this flower pot on our back deck would be a good spot to build their underground nest. ( I believe this was some type of bird, because there are species that build nests like this- it’s just uncommon to find, let alone finding one in a spot like this- 😅)
While removing stacked up tiles form my garden, I've noticed that ants have build their "Nest" inbetween them. Including their larvae and tunnels. You can see them in the video I've attached. The ants throw their larvae down on the ground in order to protect them.
