    This video was taken on 7/8/2024 at Pope Beach, South Lake Tahoe California. I was enjoying my day at the beach when a bear came up to me and my friend and took our cookies. I threw a chair at it, which did nothing. Then some random guy fought him off with a shovel!! This video was filmed by Derek Joseph Sears, an 18-year-old college student from Placerville, CA. While spending a day at the beach in South Lake Tahoe, CA, with a friend, Derek unexpectedly captured a surprising moment on camera. He had no prior knowledge of the man with the shovel, and like everyone else, was taken aback when the man struck a bear on the head. Living in Northern California, Derek is accustomed to encountering bears—just the night before, he witnessed two bears rummaging through a dumpster. When the bear appeared, he simply stepped aside and decided to film what he thought would be an interesting scene.

    I had no idea my cat was pregnant; she showed no visible signs. Her tummy wasn't big, her appetite was normal, and she was as affectionate as always. I was packing my bag for a trip the next day and had plans to take her to my sister that evening. While I was packing, she kept asking for my attention. At some point, I put the packing aside and laid down next to her on the carpet. I was petting her when all of a sudden she made a weird screaming noise. Minutes later, she started giving birth to kitten after kitten. I was terrified. I was supposed to travel with two friends I had made from Romania. They had flown all the way from Romania to Norway, had just landed, and were on the train coming to my place.
