Paper airplane fly through smoke turbulence experiment
This is an experiment that I did to visualize the turbulence that is produced behind an airplane when it travels through the air. All airplanes (full size planes, model planes, and even paper airplanes) create these spiraling air currents while in flight. It is caused by a pressure difference along the tops and bottoms of the wings as the aircraft produces lift. I used a fog machine and flew the paper airplanes through the clouds, and filmed it in slow motion.
