We were filming this spider after it caught a fly. Only upon reviewing it did we realize that what it was doing was trying to desperately and unsuccessfully bite off the thick thread that prevented it from carrying its dinner away.

Recently I found this old clip in my gallery. I remember that I saw this little flying and spinning stone, and I took a closer look. You can‘t see it on video, but actually the stone was hanging on a spider silk which gave the illusion that the stone was flying.

Hi, I’m a postman in the UK and whilst walking round I saw a spider had made its web down from the 8-10m power line to a front hedge. I have a second clip if needed.
This is called a golden orb weaver spider. Like many other spiders, if it feels disturbed, it will shake its entire web aggressively to fend off any threat. (Feel free to just use the first half of the clip, as the rest of it is just me trying to keep recording, but not much else happens).

An adult daddy long legs spider trying to wrap a baby cockroach in its web. Not long after, the cockroach ended up getting captured and eaten by a grasshopper while it was left unattended by the daddy long legs. The cockroach had no luck. 😆
