  4. Northern lights seen on the beach shore00:36

Northern lights seen on the beach shore

I took this timelapse of the largest solar storm to hit the Earth in over twenty years. It created the most vivid display of aroura in both the northern and southern hemispheres. It was so strong that it was visible in places like London and Italy. Tasmania is located down the bottom of Australia and is the southernmost part of the land before Antarctica. It can get displays of what is called the "Aurora Australis" or the "Southern Lights”. This display, however, is the largest and most significant Australia has seen in 20 years. The entire sky was lit up with red, purple, greens and oranges. The first part of the video is taken from 4am when the first flare hit the atmosphere, then the second part is 6pm when it started to get dark again and the aurora was still going on strong.

Bubbles float duster can gas vivid colors

Soap bubbles floating on difluoroethane from duster can. This version has improved lighting (from bottom and left side), better camera exposure, and darker background. Displays the bubble's vivid colors. No image enhancement used. 9 seconds worth of gas filling at the start, then a sequence of four bubbles from addition to popping, using two different exposure settings. Beautiful snow-like bits of dried bubble solution fall after each bubble dries out and pops.
