In the beginning of January 2020 my dad was diagnosed with cancer and a few weeks after the pandemic started my family dog passed away. Over next year and a half my dad went through chemo, radiation, and multiple surgeries. During one of my visits home I knew my parents needed something to focus on besides my dad’s illness. After finally convincing my mom, I drove to Kentucky to pick up a basset hound puppy for him. A week later I made up a story so that my dad would meet me at location between us and that’s when I surprised him with Stella.
