    My mother loves to spend Halloween passing out candy to kids but this year she waited out 3 hours for children to come and not a single one showed up. Eventually a small group of children arrived and offered to show off their best dance moves as a team in exchange for candy. My mother was delighted and accepted their offer. The kids spent over 30 minutes accompanying her and listening to her stories. My mother has stage 4 cancer and the children were cheering her on and saying I hope you beat cancer! They even asked if they could call her grandma and said they would stop by from time to time now.

She was feeling sad while i started shaving, so i decided to shave my hair too to show her its not as bad as it seems and that we would get through this together.     In the beginning of January 2020 my dad was diagnosed with cancer and a few weeks after the pandemic started my family dog passed away. Over next year and a half my dad went through chemo, radiation, and multiple surgeries. During one of my visits home I knew my parents needed something to focus on besides my dad’s illness. After finally convincing my mom, I drove to Kentucky to pick up a basset hound puppy for him. A week later I made up a story so that my dad would meet me at location between us and that’s when I surprised him with Stella.

    I was diagnosed with stage four colon cancer, right after I gave birth to my first child… I was told I had a year or two to live. I went and got a second opinion I have had 12 rounds of chemo two major surgeries. It is now been a year and I currently have no evidence of disease. I would love to do anything to help others get checked and catch things like colon cancer early as it is rising so quickly and young adults. A video of us trying to say goodbye to our hearts, for a couple weeks to fight cancer. It was heartbreaking but August please know everything we do, we do for you.
