Guy holds shiny iridescent green leaf plant
Music. One of my favorites are tropical begonias. These plants developed a breathtaking strategy to survive in the depths of the forest where not much light is available.
They basically shatter the light by little crystals below the leaf epidermis. This grants the plant a higher photosynthesis rate. A part of the fractioned light gets reflected. The light that comes back has a small wavelength, thats why it appears blue to us.
This process is called iridescence. Not only begonias are able to perform this.
Guy holds up a green leaf plant that looks shiny holographic. Leaf has a sheen on it. Flash, indoors.
